Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics has declared that December 15, 2024, will be the deadline for submitting an application for the MahaDBT Scholarship program, which is administered by the Maharashtra government. The scheme's goal is to enable deserving members of minority communities—Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Jain, and Jewish—to pursue professional and technical courses by offering financial aid.

NMCCE Maha DBT Scholarship/Freeship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with the mentioned criteria are eligible for application

  • The applicant must be an Indian national.
  • The candidate must live in the state of Maharashtra.
  • Candidates had to have graduated from Maharashtra State's SSC.
  • According to GR, the applicant must be a "Real Student of the Institute" and accepted for professional and technical courses (diploma, graduation, or post-graduation degree).
  • The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) at the Institute Level should be used to admit candidates.
  • No other scholarship or stipend should be available to the applicant.
  • The family's or guardian's total yearly income shouldn't exceed 8 lakhs.

NMCCE Maha DBT Scholarship/Freeship Documents Required

Documents mentioned below must be submitted to avail of the scholarships

  • Certificate of Education: S.S.C. (10th grade) and higher.
  • Declaration of Income and Minority: Affidavit on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper or, if available, an income certificate from the employer. A school leaving certificate may also be used as self-declaration or proof of minority status.
  • Evidence of permanent residency, such as a copy of an election card or residency certificate.
  • Income declaration and prior test mark sheet are required for scholarship renewal.

Benefits that eligible candidates can avail from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics Maha DBT Scholarship are mentioned below:

  • The maximum scholarship amount for a technical course (Part I of GR) is Rs. 25,000 per year, or the actual tuition fees, whichever is less.
  • The annual scholarship amount for technical courses (part I of GR) cannot be more than Rs. 50,000, or lower than the actual tuition and exam fees.
