K.R. Mangalam University PhD Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible for PhD admission, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree or its equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian university. Alternatively, a postgraduate qualification approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), UGC, or AICTE with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ on the UGC 7-point scale is required.
  • PhD admissions are also open to candidates who have cleared UGC-NET (including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), and GATE, or are teacher fellowship holders. Additionally, candidates who have completed an M.Phil program or are regular university faculty members are eligible to apply.
  • Admission is through KRMU-PET or NET Score followed by interview.
  • Written Exam Exempted for UGC-JRF/CSIR-UGC-JRF/M.Phil. qualified candidates.
  • University Research Fellowship (URF): JRF-35000/-; NET-30000/- and Non-NET-25000/-

  • Engineering: Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Humanities and Social Sciences: Journalism & Mass Communications, English, Psychology, Law
  • Commerce and Management

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a written examination and an interview. Admission to the PhD program will be determined based on overall performance in the postgraduate degree, entrance examination, and personal interview. Priority will be given to candidates who have qualified CSIR/UGC NET or hold sponsored projects.
