KLEIT Hubli Partners with SRI B for Samsung Innovation Campus to Foster Future Tech Talents

New Delhi: The Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore (SRI-B) has launched the Samsung Innovation Campus at the KLE Institute of Technology (KLEIT) in Hubli to train youths in future technology courses such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Coding & Programming and Data Science.

This step is taken in line with Samsung’s commitment towards the Government’s Skill India initiative as part of its vision of #PoweringDigitalIndia. Through this initiative, SRI-B aims to train over 100 students and professors at KLEIT each year.

To achieve this goal, the institute has joined hands with four engineering universities in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, involving over 500 students taking classes on Artificial Intelligence, Coding and Programming, IoT, and Big Data.

The Samsung Innovation Lab at KLEIT was inaugurated by Mr. Mohan Rao Goli, CTO, SRI-B and Prof. Rajesh Hegde, Dean (R & D), IIT Dharwad in presence of Prof. Ashok Shettar, Vice Chancellor, KLE Technological University and other distinguished members including Mr. Srimanu Prasad, Head, Tech Strategy, SRI-B and Prof. Sharad Joshi, Principal of KLEIT.

As of now, the Samsung Innovation Campus has trained and awarded certificates of completion to over 100 students. Along with training courses, the campus offers a faculty development program to bridge the gap between industry and academia.

Participants who pursue courses from the campus will be offered advanced technology training and projects in fields such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Coding & Programming, and Data Science. These training programs will help students prepare for the workforce.

The course curriculum of Samsung Innovation Campus courses aims to empower learners to become well-rounded professionals by integrating technology, fundamental software skills, and developing competencies.

Samsung has trained over 1,000 students and established eight Samsung Innovation Labs in leading institutes such as IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee and IIT Guwahati, IIITDM Kurnool and IIT Jodhpur as part of its Samsung Innovation Campus program.
