Kerala Agricultural University Ph.D. Admission 2024-25: Apply by January 10

The Online Application Portal of Kerala Agricultural University will be open from 6:00 PM on January 1, 2025, until 11:59 PM on January 10, 2025, for applications to the following Ph.D. programs for the Academic Year 2024-25: Ph.D. in Agriculture, Ph.D. in Horticulture, Ph.D. in Community Science, Ph.D. in Forestry, and Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering. The application process for PhD in Agricultural Statistics started on January 4, 2025, and the last date to apply is January 10, 2025.

Candidates who have already submitted their applications (as per the University Notification dated September 9, 2024) need not apply again.

KAU PhD Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a PhD at Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), you must meet the following criteria:

• Have a Master's degree in the relevant discipline or a related discipline from KAU or a recognized equivalent qualification.
• Have an Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 7.0/10.0 for the general category and 6.5/10.0 for SC/ST.
• Have a basic degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or Forestry, except for Home Science and Rural Marketing Management.

For the PhD in Animal Science, and PhD in Agricultural Statistics, you must have an M.V.Sc., MSc. Agriculture, MSc. Horticulture, M.Sc. Forestry, or M.F.Sc. You must also have a Master's Degree in any Life Science subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.

KAU PhD Selection Process

• The selection process for a PhD at KAU includes an ICAR SRF Entrance Examination or KAU Entrance Examination, and an interview.
