KCET Round 2 Counselling 2026 Schedule Out; Check Option Entry Dates

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the KCET Round 2 counselling schedule. The 2026 notification is now live at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Round 2 option entry is currently underway and closes soon.

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test admits students to professional undergraduate courses. KEA holds counselling in rounds for engineering, pharmacy, and allied programmes.

Who Can Take Part in KCET Round 2?

Round 2 counselling is open to all verified KCET 2026 rank holders. Candidates unallotted in Round 1 can enter fresh options. Round 1 seat holders can also try for an upgrade.

Candidates who skipped Round 1 option entry may not be eligible. KEA usually restricts Round 2 to those already in the counselling pool. Check the official Round 2 seat allotment prospectus for your exact status.

How to Enter Options for KCET Round 2?

Option entry lets candidates list preferred colleges and courses in order. KEA uses these choices along with your CET rank for allotment. The higher your preference, the better your shot at that seat.

• Visit the official KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
• Login using your KCET application number and password.
• Review the Round 2 seat matrix released by KEA.
• Enter college and course choices in order of preference.
• Add, remove, or rearrange choices until the deadline.
• Save and lock your choices before the window closes.

Enter more choices rather than fewer to boost your chances. A short choice list can leave you without any seat. Order choices strictly by real preference, not just cutoff ranks.

Look at last year's Round 2 cutoffs while listing your choices. Cutoffs in Round 2 often shift as seats open up. A branch out of reach in Round 1 may now be possible.

What Documents Do You Need for Round 2?

Documents already verified during Round 1 usually remain valid for Round 2. Candidates entering counselling for the first time must complete document verification. KEA lists the full document list inside the official prospectus.

• KCET 2026 admit card and rank card
• Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates
• Aadhaar card or other government-issued photo ID
• Category certificate for reserved candidates
• Income and study certificates where applicable

What Happens After Round 2 Seat Allotment?

KEA will release the provisional Round 2 allotment result on the portal. Each allotted candidate has to choose one of the notified choice options. The candidate must then pay the seat fee within the deadline.

After fee payment, candidates get an admission order from KEA. They must report to the allotted college with original documents. The college then verifies documents and confirms the final admission.
