The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the last date for online registration and application for the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2026. This decision comes as a relief for thousands of students who have yet to complete their applications.
According to the official notification, while over 2.87 lakh candidates have already registered, many others requested more time. Candidates can now register online until February 22, 2026 (11:59 PM). Furthermore, a special note highlights that students who have already applied should log in to verify their details and correct any mistakes before the final submission.

KCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Education: Candidates must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2/2nd PUC or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science.
- Domicile: Candidates must satisfy one of the KEA domicile clauses (e.g., studied for 7 years in Karnataka).
KCET 2026 Selection Process
- Entrance Test: Candidates must appear for the KCET offline pen-and-paper exam.
- Merit List: Ranks are calculated based on 50% KCET marks and 50% Board exam marks (for Engineering).
- Counseling: Successful candidates participate in centralized online counseling for seat allotment.

- Click on the "UGCET 2026 Online Application" link.
- Register by providing basic details to generate a User ID and Password.
- Fill in the application form, upload the required scanned documents, and save the progress.

- Review your application for mistakes and click 'Submit'. Print a copy for future reference.
