KCET 2026 Document Verification Deadline Extended Till May 21

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the KCET 2026 document verification deadline to May 21, 2026. Candidates who claimed eligibility under clauses A1, B1, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, and O must complete their document verification before the extended deadline. Personal presence is mandatory for all candidates during the verification process.

KCET 2026 document verification is a critical step for counselling eligibility. Candidates who fail to verify documents will not receive the verification slip and cannot participate in seat allotment or web options. The verification process ensures authenticity of claims made during application, including reservation benefits, study certificates, and eligibility criteria.

How to Book KCET 2026 Document Verification Slot?

• Candidates must book their verification slot online through the official KEA portal before visiting the verification center.
• Visit cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and log in with your application credentials. Select your preferred date and time slot from available options.
• Confirm your booking and note the appointment details for reference during verification.

Bring all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies to the verification center. Essential documents include SSLC/10th marks card, 7-year study certificate countersigned by Block Educational Officer (BEO), KCET application printout, and Aadhaar card. Candidates claiming reservations must carry relevant caste/income certificates with RD numbers issued by the Tahasildar.

Verification Location and Timing

Document verification takes place at KEA office, 18th Cross, Malleshwaram, Sampige Road, Bengaluru 560012. Candidates must attend only on their booked date and time slot. Personal presence is mandatory; no proxy or representative verification is allowed. Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time with all required documents.

What Happens After Document Verification

After successful verification, candidates receive the verification slip as proof of completed verification. This slip is mandatory for participating in KCET 2026 counselling and seat allotment process. Candidates who fail to verify documents will be debarred from counselling despite their exam performance and cannot claim any seats.

Candidates who miss the May 21, 2026 deadline will not be able to complete document verification. Without verification, they cannot download the verification slip and will be ineligible for counselling. Missing this deadline effectively ends the admission process for KCET 2026, regardless of exam score.

Special Category Verification Guidelines

Candidates claiming defence, ex-defence, CAPF, or ex-CAPF reservations must first verify academic documents at their PUC/12th studying college. Defence-related documents must then be submitted to the KEA office for final verification. Scouts & Guides, Anglo-Indian, and NCC candidates follow similar two-step verification procedures.

Clause A Candidates: Automatic Verification

Candidates who claimed Clause A and studied 10 full academic years in Kannada medium from 1st to 10th standard receive automatic verification. Their claim certificate is marked as "Successfully Verified" without requiring offline verification. These candidates can directly proceed to download their verification slip.

Ensure all documents are original and not photocopies for initial verification. Verify that your name, date of birth, and application details match across all documents. Bring documents in the exact format specified by KEA; missing countersignatures or RD numbers will cause rejection. Do not attempt to submit fake or forged certificates; KEA initiates criminal action against such candidates.

After completing document verification, download your verification slip from the KEA portal. Use this slip during KCET 2026 counselling registration and seat allotment process. Keep the verification slip safe as it is required for final admission confirmation at your allotted college.
