Kerala Agricultural University has opened applications for M.Sc programmes under RF Mode for 2026-27. Candidates can apply at admissions.kau.in. Last date to apply: June 12, 2026.

According to the official admission notification published on the Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) admissions portal, the university has invited applications for its Masters Programmes offered under RF (Research Foundation) Mode for the academic year 2026–27. Eligible candidates can apply online at admissions.kau.in. The last date to submit the online application is June 12, 2026.
RF Mode programmes at KAU are distinct from its regular M.Sc offerings in Agriculture, Horticulture, and Forestry, which are filled through ICAR entrance examinations. The RF Mode covers specialised and interdisciplinary postgraduate programmes that are not part of the ICAR All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) process, making them accessible to a broader range of science graduates.

RF Mode (Research Foundation Mode) refers to programmes at KAU that fall outside the standard ICAR-regulated admissions pipeline. These are specialised postgraduate courses in emerging and interdisciplinary areas such as Climate Science, Wildlife Management, and Ocean Sciences. They are filled through KAU's own entrance exam and interview process, and are open to a wider range of undergraduate backgrounds compared to conventional agricultural programmes.
Previous Year Reference: 2025 RF Mode Programmes
In the corresponding 2025 RF Mode notification, KAU had also included PhD programmes in Animal Science and Applied Microbiology, along with PG Diploma programmes in Bioinformatics, Hi-tech Horticulture, and Nutrition and Dietetics. The 2026 notification details for PhD and PG Diploma programmes under RF Mode are separate; candidates interested in those should check the official portal for the applicable notification.
Watch kau.in/academic-news for the KAU entrance exam schedule, provisional rank lists, and allotment dates following the June 12 application deadline. The official prospectus on the admissions portal will have programme-specific seat intake and detailed eligibility conditions.
