The University of Kashmir has officially announced the admission notification for two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program for the session 2024-26. Eligible candidates from Kashmir and Ladakh regions can apply for the program at the Main Campus or South Campus of the university. Online Application forms for admission to the course will be available from October 11 to October 25, 2024 on the university’s official website @kashmiruniversity.net.

Candidates seeking admission in the B.Ed. program at Kashmir University must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 pattern) or Master’s Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities with at least 50% marks for General Category candidates and 45% for Reserved Category candidates.
• Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics must have a minimum of 55% marks.
• Graduate teachers under the 10+2+2 scheme with at least two years of teaching experience in Government or Government-recognized private schools can also apply.

Candidates should follow the steps mentioned below to successfully complete the BEd online applications:

1. Visit the Website: Go to kashmiruniversity.net or kashmiruniversity.ac.in and click on the link for the B.Ed. Application Form for the Department of Education.
2. Registration: Register by clicking on “Register as student.” Keep your username and password for future reference.
3. Login: After registration, log in using your registration number.
4. Fill Out the Form: Enter the required details and upload a recent passport-sized photograph.
5. Document Upload:
   • Upload original marks sheets of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of graduation.
   • Postgraduate markscards (if applicable).
   • Valid category certificate (if applicable).
6. Review and Submit: Before submitting, ensure all information is accurate. Once it is submitted, print the form and note the application ID.
7. Application Fee Payment: Pay an application and IT fee of Rs. 750/- through online mode (non-refundable).
