JU Releases Schedule for PhD Program Interview, Check Documents Required Here!

The merit list for the PhD program in guidance, psychological counseling, and family therapy at Jadavpur University has been made public. Interviews are scheduled for January 10 and 11, 2025, for candidates whose names are on the list.

Candidates having their names on the list of selected candidates for interview must follow the schedule mentioned below:

JU PhD Program Interview Documents Required

Candidates must have an original copy of the below-listed documents at the time of the Interview:

• Certificates and mark sheets: Original grade reports and certifications for every test taken or degree earned
• Proof of age: A legitimate certificate attesting to the date of birth
• Certificates for categories that are reserved: If applicable, a SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PD certificate
• UGC-JRF/CSIR-JRF/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT-BET/SLET/GATE/CAT, if applicable, are certificates for national level fellowships.
• Certificate of no objection: If appropriate, the employer's No Objection Certificate
• Certificate of migration: If relevant, a migration certificate from the last university attended
• Visa for research: Foreign nationals' research visa
• Photos the size of a passport: Two photos the size of a passport
• Application: The Samarth Portal is used to complete the application.

Candidates are also required to submit a research proposal that is not more than 1,000 words. The proposal should include a description of the central research problem, relevant research questions, a review of existing literature, and an explanation of the research methodology.
