JNU PG Admission Schedule 2026-27

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced the revised admission schedule for Postgraduate (PG) and Advanced Diploma of Proficiency (ADOP) programmes for the academic year 2026-27. The university has streamlined the multi-stage admission process to ensure smooth candidate registration and seat allocation. All eligible candidates must follow the revised timeline carefully to secure their seats.

The admission process comprises three merit lists with distinct registration and verification phases. Candidates selected in each list must complete pre-enrolment registration and fee payment within the specified dates to block their seats. The entire admission process will conclude by August 10, 2026, allowing students to begin their academic sessions on schedule.

How to Access Merit Lists and Register Online

Candidates can access all merit lists through the official JNU admissions portal at jnuee.jnu.ac.in. After each merit list publication, selected candidates must log in using their CUET-PG application number and date of birth. The portal provides direct links to download merit lists and initiate pre-enrolment registration immediately.

Pre-Enrolment Registration and Fee Payment Process

Pre-enrolment registration requires candidates to confirm their seat acceptance and pay the initial fee. Candidates must upload the required documents during this phase to block their allocated seats. Fee payment must be completed within the specified dates; failure to do so may result in seat cancellation and forfeiture of the position.

Physical Verification: Essential Documents Required

Physical verification is mandatory for all selected candidates. Required documents include:

  • CUET-PG scorecard
  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Graduation degree certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Valid photo ID proof
  • Two sets of self-attested copies of all certificates

Candidates must arrive on their assigned verification date with all original documents and photocopies.

Final Call for Vacant Seats and Last Merit List

JNU will issue a final call for expression of willingness from July 23-25, 2026, for admission against any remaining vacant seats. The last and final merit list will be published on July 31, 2026, followed by the final pre-enrolment registration period from July 31 to August 2, 2026. This represents the last opportunity for candidates to secure admission for the 2026-27 academic year.

Deadline for Admission Registration

All admission and registration formalities must be completed by August 10, 2026. This is the absolute final deadline; no extensions will be granted. Candidates who complete registration by this date will be eligible to begin their academic programmes as scheduled.

The revised admission schedule ensures a structured and transparent process for all PG and ADOP candidates. Candidates should monitor the official JNU portal regularly for merit list updates and complete all registration steps within the specified timelines. Early completion of pre-enrolment and physical verification will help candidates avoid last-minute complications and secure their seats promptly.
