Jawaharlal Nehru University has begun PG admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. Interested candidates can submit their applications online till June 15, while the first merit list will be released on June 23.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), one of India's premier central universities, has announced the postgraduate admission schedule for 2026-27. You can apply online from May 25, 2026, to June 15, 2026 (11:50 PM). JNU offers diverse postgraduate programs across sciences, humanities, social sciences, engineering, and management. Eligibility Criteria
For PG programs, you must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Minimum 50% marks in your bachelor's degree is typically required. Some programs may have specific subject requirements. CUET (PG) 2026 score is mandatory for admission. Candidates appearing for final year exams can also apply provisionally. Category-wise relaxation in marks as per government norms.
Fee Structure
Tuition fee per semester: INR 12,500. Student Activity Fee: INR 2,500. Institution Development Fee: INR 1,000. Examination Fee: INR 1,000. Total semester fee is approximately INR 17,000. Exact fees may vary by program. Scholarships and financial assistance are available for eligible candidates. Fee payment must be made during pre-enrolment registration to block your seat.
How to Apply?
Visit jnu.ac.in/admissions on your browser. Click on "PG & ADOP Admission 2026-27" link. Fill the online application form with accurate details. Upload required documents (mark sheets, certificates, CUET scorecard). Pay the application fee online. Submit your application before June 15, 2026 (11:50 PM). Keep the confirmation receipt for future reference.
Admission Process Steps
Submit your online application by June 15, 2026. Check the first merit list on June 23, 2026. If selected, complete pre-enrolment and pay fees by June 25, 2026. Attend physical verification on scheduled dates (July 6-14, 2026). If not selected in earlier lists, apply for the final call (July 20-22, 2026). The final merit list will be published on July 28, 2026. Complete final admission by August 7, 2026.
