JIS University Begins PhD Admission for Spring Semester 2025; Apply by December 22

JIS University, Kolkata, has released the official notification for PhD admissions for the Spring 2025 semester. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to full-time and part-time PhD programmes.

The doctoral programmes are offered across multiple faculties, including Science, Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Juridical Sciences, Management, and Education. Interested candidates must apply through the prescribed application process within the announced timeline.

According to the official schedule, the last date to submit the online application, along with the hard copy or email submission, is December 22, 2025. The list of candidates eligible to appear for the JIS University Research Eligibility Test (JISU-RET) will be displayed between December 23 and December 24, 2025.

The JISU-RET (offline mode) will be conducted on January 5, 2026, and the list of qualified candidates will be published on January 7, 2026. Following this, departments will issue viva-voce notifications on January 8, 2026, with interviews scheduled between January 9 and January 14, 2026. The final results and admission offers will be announced on January 16, 2026.

The admission process will take place from January 19 to January 30, 2026, while the coursework is tentatively scheduled to commence between February 2 and February 7, 2026.
