The Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) 2026 results have been declared on April 30, 2026, by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati.
Candidates who appeared for the exam on April 12, 2026, can now download their scorecards from the official application portal at jest.org.in.
The scorecard contains individual performance details, subject-wise scores, and overall percentile rankings for PhD, Integrated PhD, and MSc program admissions.
JEST is a premier national-level entrance screening test conducted annually for admission to PhD, Integrated PhD, and MSc programs in Physics and Theoretical Computer Science at participating research institutes across India.
The exam is recognized by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), formerly known as SERB (Science & Engineering Research Board), as a National Eligibility Test (NET).
Candidates qualifying JEST can apply to over 30 participating institutes including IISER campuses, TIFR, IISc, and other premier research institutions for advanced research programs.

How to Download JEST 2026 Scorecard?
- Candidates must visit the official JEST website at jest.org.in and navigate to the application portal login section.
- They should enter their registered email address or username and password to access their scorecard.
- The scorecard displays subject-wise performance in Physics and Theoretical Computer Science, along with the overall score and percentile ranking used by participating institutes for shortlisting candidates.
JEST 2026 results are used by participating institutes for admission to PhD programs in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science, and Computational Biology; Integrated PhD programs in Physics and Theoretical Computer Science; and MSc programs in Physics.
The examination is conducted at the level of MSc or advanced BSc in Physics and Computer Science. Candidates with qualifying scores can apply to any of the 30+ participating research institutes for their preferred research specialization.

What’s Next for Students
Candidates who have qualified JEST 2026 can now apply to their preferred participating institutes using their scorecard and JEST score.
Each institute conducts its own selection process, which may include interviews, written tests, or research proposal evaluations.
The JEST score remains valid for admission purposes until the declaration of JEST 2028 results, providing candidates with a two-year window to apply to institutes of their choice.
