The Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEECUP), Uttar Pradesh, has opened online application forms for working professionals seeking admission to polytechnic institutions for the 2026-27 academic session.

Registrations commenced on April 2, 2026, and will remain open until April 30, 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online at admissions.nic.in/JEECUP using their credentials. The entrance examination will be conducted in computer-based mode from May 15 to May 22, 2026.

This initiative allows working professionals to pursue diploma courses in engineering without leaving their jobs. JEECUP is designed for candidates seeking career advancement through technical education in Uttar Pradesh's government and private polytechnic institutions.

The program addresses the growing demand for skilled professionals in mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.

There is no upper age limit for applicants, making it accessible to professionals at any career stage. The examination assesses candidates' technical knowledge and aptitude for engineering studies.

The online application fee is fixed at ₹300 per candidate for General and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories, while the fee for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates is ₹200 per candidate.

Working professionals must meet basic eligibility criteria to apply for JEECUP 2026. Candidates should be at least 14 years of age with no upper age limit prescribed. Educational qualifications vary depending on the course group selected, with most diploma programs requiring Class 10 or Class 12 pass certificates.

Applicants must register on the official portal, fill in personal and educational details, upload required documents, and pay the application fee to complete the registration process.

Candidates must prepare essential documents before applying, including valid identification proof, educational certificates, and recent passport-sized photographs. The admit card will be available for download from the official website before the examination dates.

JEECUP 2026 Exam Pattern

The JEECUP 2026 examination will be conducted in online computer-based test (CBT) format across multiple examination centers throughout Uttar Pradesh. The test evaluates candidates' knowledge in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and general awareness relevant to engineering disciplines.

After the examination, JEECUP will release the answer key in June 2026, allowing candidates to challenge incorrect answers if necessary. Results are expected by May 30, 2026, following which merit-based counselling will commence for seat allocation.

Selected candidates will be offered admission to polytechnic institutions based on their merit rank and course preferences. The counselling process will determine final seat allocation across government and private polytechnic colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
