JEE Main 2025 January 28 Live Updates: Shift 2 Ends, Paper Analysis, Question Paper with Answer Key, Marks vs Percentile

NTA will release the JEE main 2025 session 1 answer key in the first week of February 2025. Along with the answer key, the response sheet and question paper PDF will be released. The link for the download of the answer key and response sheet will be available on jeemain.nta.nic.in. However, coaching institutes release unofficial answer key beforehand.

The relationship between JEE Main 2025 scores vs percentiles depends on the session's difficulty. Check the approximate raw scores required for certain percentile ranges based on previous years' data:

• Physics: Moderately difficult, featuring a balanced mix of theory and application-based questions.
• Chemistry: The easiest section, with most students finding the questions straightforward.
• Mathematics: Slightly more challenging, with questions ranging from moderate to high difficulty levels.

The overall difficulty level of the JEE main 2025 Shift 2 paper was moderate, with Mathematics being slightly more challenging compared to Physics and Chemistry. Despite this, many students felt the paper was well-balanced and fair, testing both conceptual understanding and quick problem-solving skills. With proper preparation, an effective strategy, and good time management, candidates can confidently approach the JEE Main exam and work towards their target rank.

NTA has concluded the JEE Main 2025 Jan 28 Shift 2 exam at 6 PM. The paper analysis and question paper will be out soon.

According to the JEE main 2025 paper 1 exam, candidates have to answer the 75 questions divided as follows:

• 25 Physics
• 25 Chemistry
• 25 Mathematics

Out of the 25 questions on each subject, 20 are MCQs and 5 NATs.

Based on the trends, the upcoming JEE Mains 2025 exam will be comparatively difficult than the previous shifts. For future shifts, students should focus on PYQs, time management, and selecting questions wisely.

Due to a technical snag at the eTalent Examination Centre (TC Code-40086), No. 3, Belmar Estate, Nagasandra Main Road, Bengaluru, the Shift-I examination on 22 January 2025 was disrupted. Consequently, the examination for 114 affected candidates has been rescheduled to 28 and 29 January 2025. Revised admit cards have been issued.

NTA anticipated heavy footfall of devotees in Mahakumbh near Ram Path and River Saryu during the exam dates – 28, 29, and 30 January 2025. Therefore the venue at Institute for Advanced Computer Technology, 21/03/44/03, Behind Choti Devkali Mandir, Tulsi Nagar Ayodhya, Faizabad, UP-224723, has been changed.

New Venue:

• SRS Digital Institute, MIG-35, Kaushalpuri Colony, Phase-2, Ayodhya

In light of the Mahakumbh congregation at Prayagraj, which could hinder accessibility to examination centers, NTA has decided to relocate the scheduled tests on 28, 29, and 30 January 2025 from Prayagraj to Varanasi. 

NTA commences the JEE Main 2025 Jan 28 Shift 2 exam starts at 3 PM. The shift will continue till 6 PM.

Based on the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exams so far, here are the expected cutoffs:

• General Category: 88–90 percentile
• OBC-NCL: 70–75 percentile
• SC: 50–55 percentile
• ST: 40–45 percentile

Candidates and experts rate the JEE Mains 2025 Session 1 January 28 Shift 1 as the toughest shift so far. The overall difficulty level was moderate to tough.

Candidates must carry the following documents to avoid complications while entering the JEE Main exam center:

• A clear printout of the Admit Card with the filled Self Declaration.
• A passport-sized photograph (same as on the application form) for the attendance sheet.
• Any one of the authorized photo IDs (original, valid, and non-expired).
• PwD/PwBD certificate, if applicable.
• A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.

The overall difficulty level of the exam was rated as moderate by most students and experts. Below is a subject-wise analysis of the difficulty:

• Mathematics: Considered difficult and lengthy, with time-consuming questions and a few tricky numerical problems.
• Physics: Rated moderate, focusing on conceptual clarity, with several formula-based questions.
• Chemistry: Easy to moderate, dominated by NCERT-based questions, making it a scoring section for many candidates.

NTA has concluded the JEE Main 2025 Jan 28 Shift 1 at 12 Noon. The paper analysis and memory-based question paper will be available soon.

Based on the analysis of the previous JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams, the overall difficulty level is expected to be moderate. Physics and Chemistry sections will be moderate to easy whereas Mathematics will be comparatively difficult.

• +4 for every correct answer
• -1 for every incorrect answer
• 0 for unanswered question

NTA will start the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 registration from January 31, 2025 onwards. Candidates can apply on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date for registration will be February 24, 2025.

For the JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech, candidates must answer 75 questions. These questions are divided into Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each subject has 2 sections – Sectiom A with 20 MCQs and Section B with 5 NATs. 

This year, the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams are from January 22 to 30, 2025. The paper-wise exams are conducted as follows:

• Paper 1: January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29 in two shifts 
• Paper 2: January 30 in the 2^nd shift

JEE Main 2025 session 2 exams will be conducted from April 1 to 8, 2025.

NTA commences JEE Main 2025 Jan 24 Shift 1 exam at 9 AM. This shift will end at 12 Noon.

Canddiates are adviced to wear light and comfortable clothes. Avoid wearing shoes, ornaments, or accessories. This year, the frisking has been very strict and candidates have not been allowed to carry any metal (not even as part of clothing like in buttons) and handkerchief inside the exam center.
