What Comes Next: Step-by-Step Timeline?

Step 1: Response Sheet (May 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM) IIT Roorkee will release your response sheet showing all answers you submitted during the exam. Download it using your JEE Advanced registration number, date of birth, and registered mobile number. This helps you verify which questions you attempted and your exact responses. Keep this for your records.

Step 2: Provisional Answer Key (May 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM) The provisional answer key will be released for both papers. This is your first opportunity to estimate your score. Compare your answers with the provisional key. Calculate your estimated marks using the marking scheme. If you believe there's an error in the key, you can raise objections.

Step 3: Objection Window (May 25-26, 2026) Candidates can raise objections against the provisional answer key if they believe any answer is incorrect. Each objection requires a fee (refundable if valid). IIT Roorkee will review all objections and make necessary corrections. Submit objections only if you have strong evidence of an error.

Step 4: Final Answer Key & Results (June 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM) After considering all objections and feedback, IIT Roorkee will release the final answer key. This final key will be used to calculate your score and rank. Results will be declared simultaneously. No further changes will be made after this date. Your rank will determine your eligibility for JoSAA counselling.

How to Estimate Your Score?

Download both Paper 1 and Paper 2 from jeeadv.ac.in. Carefully compare your answers with the official question papers. For each correct MCQ answer: +4 marks. For each correct NAT answer: +4 marks. For each incorrect MCQ: -1 mark. For each incorrect NAT: 0 marks. Unattempted questions: 0 marks. Calculate total marks for Paper 1 and Paper 2 separately. Add both to get your total score out of 600. Remember this is an estimate; final score will be based on the final answer key released on June 1.
