Jadavpur University has released a merit list for the candidates eligible to appear for the written test of PhD admission. The written test will be conducted on different dates for different departments. Details of the same is given below. Candidates can get access to the merit list by browsing the “Notice” tab of the Jadavpur University website @jadavpuruniversity.in/.

Jadavpur University PhD Admission Documents Required
Candidates must provide the documents for verification listed below:
- Two freshly taken passport-sized photos.
- All mark sheets and certificates must be attested, as must any applicable SC, ST, PD, OBC-A, OBC-B, or Madhyamik admission card or certificate for age verification.
- If any, a NET/SET certificate.
- Candidates with two-year M.Phil. degrees from universities other than Jadavpur University must present a certificate from the appropriate authority attesting to the fact that they were chosen for the M.Phil. program based on a written exam and that they were taught a comprehensive paper on research methodology for at least one semester. Otherwise, a coursework and/or WRET waiver will not be given.
How To Check Jadavpur University PhD Written Test Merit List?
Follow the steps mentioned below to check the Jadavpur University Merit List for the written test.
- Go to the official Jadavpur University website at @jadavpuruniversity.in/.
- On the home page, select the "Notice" tab.
- Click on the notification that reads "List of candidates selected for written test of PhD program".
- The merit list will become available.
Admission is not certain just because your name appears on the written test merit list. Admission will be granted based on the candidate's performance on the written exam, prior academic standing, and document verification. Those chosen following the written exam will be invited to an in-person interview.
