Round 1 seat allotment for the BSDS 2026-27 programme is now available on the ISI admission portal. Provisional admission runs from July 17 to 19. Round 2 allocation will follow on July 20 2026.
The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) has released the Round 1 seat allocation for the Bachelor of Statistical Data Science (BSDS) 2026-27 programme. Selected candidates can view the allocation on the official portal at admission.isical.ac.in.
Candidates with a provisional seat offer must accept it within the stated window. Acceptance requires payment of a seat acceptance deposit online. Candidates who fail to respond before the deadline will be removed from all subsequent admission rounds.

About the BSDS Programme
BSDS stands for Bachelor of Statistical Data Science (Honours). It is a four-year undergraduate degree offered by ISI. The programme is available at three campuses: Kolkata, Delhi, and Bengaluru.
Selection is based on JEE Main or CUET (UG) scores. Scores from either 2025 or 2026 are accepted. Candidates must have studied Mathematics and English in Class 12. The minimum Class 12 aggregate requirement is 75 percent for the general category.

The tuition and academic fees are payable every semester by admitted students.

Documents Candidates Should Keep Ready

- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and pass certificates
- JEE Main or CUET (UG) scorecard used for the application
- Category certificate for reserved-category candidates in the prescribed format
- PwBD certificate for candidates claiming disability reservation
- Recent passport-size photographs and a valid photo identity proof
- Provisional admission letter downloaded from the ISI admission portal
How to Complete Provisional Admission for BSDS 2026-27?
Selected candidates must follow the official process available on the ISI admission portal. The steps to accept the provisional seat are given below:
- Log in to admission.isical.ac.in using the registered credentials.
- Open the Round 1 seat allocation notice and check the allotted campus.
- Click on the accept option for the provisional seat offer.
- Pay the seat acceptance deposit through the available online payment modes.
- Download the provisional admission letter and save a copy for future reference.

What Happens If You Miss the Round 1 Deadline?
Candidates who decline the allotted seat or fail to respond before the deadline will lose their admission offer. Their names will not be considered in any further admission round.
The Round 2 seat allocation will be conducted for the remaining vacant seats. Waitlisted candidates may receive an allotment depending on seat availability and movement after Round 1.
