AIIMS has announced Online Seat Allocation Schedule for the January Session. Eligible candidates can fill in their choices for the first round of seat allocation from December 16, 2024, 5 PM onwards.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has announced the schedule for the Online Seat Allocation Process for INI SS (Institute of National Importance Super Specialty) courses. This includes admissions to DM, MCh, and MD (HA) programs for the January 2025 session. Eligible candidates can now begin the process of exercising their choices for the first round of seat allocation from December 16, 2024 (5 PM).

Eligibility and Registration
- Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have appeared for the INI SS Entrance Examination held earlier and scored the qualifying marks (50% of total marks).
- Eligibility is subject to criteria detailed in the INI SS Prospectus and subsequent notices issued by AIIMS.
- Registration and Login
- Eligible candidates can log in to the INI SS Online Institute Allocation Portal via the "MyPage" link on the official AIIMS website (www.aiimsexams.ac.in) using the credentials used during the application process.
- A separate password for the seat allocation portal must be set during the registration process.
Step-by-Step Process for Online Seat Allocation
- Registration for Seat Allocation:
- Visit the portal, register, and set a password for the seat allocation process.
- Making Choices:
- Candidates can add, delete, and reorder their choices for Institutes and Specialties until the last date.
- Choices can be reordered by dragging and dropping options.
- Locking Choices:
- Once satisfied with the preferences, candidates must click "Submit and Lock" to finalize their choices.
- If choices are not locked manually, the system will automatically lock the last saved choices when the deadline ends.
- Printing Locked Choices:
- After locking, candidates can view and print their submitted choices for reference.
Guidelines for Seat Acceptance
- Acceptance Options:
- Accept Allocated Institute and Do Not Participate in Further Rounds.
- Accept Allocated Institute and Participate in the Next Round: If upgraded, candidates must join the new allocation; failure to do so will incur a penalty of ₹3,00,000.
- Candidates cannot refuse an allocated seat. Non-acceptance will result in forfeiture of the seat and ineligibility for subsequent rounds.
- Candidates must report in person to the allocated institute with their original documents or a security deposit of ₹3,00,000 by the specified dates.
Important Points for Candidates
- Age Limit:
- Age limits vary by institute and category. For example, AIIMS New Delhi limits general candidates to 35 years, while JIPMER has no age limit.
- Foreign and Sponsored Candidates:
- Allocations are based on merit and choices, but discrepancies in sponsorship certificates may affect eligibility.
