New Delhi: Shri Banwarilal Purohit, the Governor of Punjab and Chandigarh, has inaugurated SAMRIDHI (Strategic Acceleration for Market, Research, Innovation & Development: a Holistic Initiative for ICPS Startups), a Deeptech Startup Accelerator Programme.

Hosted by iHub AwaDH under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), SAMRIDHI aims to catalyze innovation in agriculture and water technology.

In attendance at the event were IIT Ropar director Rajeev Ahuja, Panjab University vice-chancellor Renu Vig, AwaDH director Pushpendra Pal Singh, and Bhashini Digital India CEO Amitabh Nag.

During the SAMRIDHI conclave, five strategic partnerships were officially established, accompanied by the unveiling of five deep-tech innovations. Out of the meticulously chosen 13 startups, ideas were presented through rigorous evaluation, with an additional 25 showcasing their solutions at the exhibition.

Further, the event also featured over 30 experts sharing insights on strategic acceleration for market research, innovation, and development.

Organized by IIT Ropar's Technology and Innovation Hub AwaDH, the conclave was supported by 46 investment partners, with a panel of over 50 jury members evaluating and mentoring the startups. A network of more than 110 nationwide partners actively contributed to driving innovation and fostering technological self-sufficiency.

Implemented in partnership with the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM – ICPS), the program highlights DST's commitment to the progress of technology and innovation.
