New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Mandi) has joined hands with Swami Technical University, Bhilai to foster academic collaboration and research.
The MoU was signed on March 26, 2024, in the presence of Prof. M.K. Verma, Vice-Chancellor of Chhattisgarh Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai, and Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, Director of IIT Mandi.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Kumar Sambhav Pandey, Registrar, of IIT Mandi, said, “In line with its commitment to fostering excellence through collaboration, IIT Mandi continues to actively seek partnerships with esteemed institutions such as Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai. By nurturing a culture of collaboration, IIT Mandi aims to contribute significantly to the advancement of science, technology, and society.”
As part of this partnership, students, researchers, and faculty from both the participating institutions will visit each other’s campuses and facilitate the exchange of scientific knowledge and information.
The agreement also brings out opportunities for joint postdoctoral and Ph.D. programs, fostering academic and research excellence through collaborative supervision. Both institutions will grant access to their research facilities as per mutually agreed terms.
Joint activities such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and training programs, offering students exposure to the facilities and resources available at both institutions will also be conducted as part of the MoU.
