IIT Madras Summer Fellowship Program Admission 2026

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has begun inviting applications for the Summer Fellowship Program 2026. Interested candidates must apply by March 2, 2026, up to 5 PM, through the official website, ssp.iitm.ac.in.

The Summer Fellowship Program at IIT Madras is a two-month program designed to enhance awareness and interest in high-quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences, and Humanities students through a goal-oriented summer internship.

The summer internship program will begin on May 18, 2026, to July 17, 2026. Enrolled candidates will get a monthly stipend of INR 15,000 during the entire duration of the internship.

As per the official website of IIT Madras, Departments like Engineering, Science, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Management are participating in this Summer Fellowship Program. However, students from IITs are not eligible to apply.

Applicants pursuing a three-year undergraduate (BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engg./3-year B.Sc. with Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics) or 3rd or 4th year of Integrated / Dual Degree in Masters Programme (M.E./ M.Tech / M.Sc), 1st year of M.Sc./M.A/ MBA.
