IIT Madras has introduced a new admission pathway, Science Olympiad Excellence, for students excelling in National and International Olympiads. This initiative allows Olympiad winners to secure UG admissions outside the JEE Advanced framework.

IIT Madras Launches UG 2025 Admission Under ScOpE

IIT Madras has introduced admissions to its undergraduate programs for students with outstanding performance in National and International Olympiads. This new entry process, 'Science Olympiad Excellence' (ScOpE), will work independently of JEE (Advanced). Application will open on June 3, 2025, for the first batch through the official website jeeadv.iitm.ac.in/scope.

IIT Madras UG Admission Under ScOpE 2025: Eligibility

To be eligible for SCOPE Admission, a candidate must satisfy the following conditions:

Be an Indian citizen (from birth or naturalization), or an OCI/PIO cardholder (issued before 4 March 2021).
Within the last four years, he/she must have participated in one or more of the following:
Mathematics: IMOTC (International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp) - HBCSE
Physics, Chemistry, Biology: OCSC (Orientation-cum-Selection Camp) - HBCSE
Informatics: IOITC (International Olympiad for Informatics Training Camp) - IARCS.
