The application fee for IIT Madras MBA admissions is ₹1,600 for General, OBC and Foreign/NRI candidates, while SC, ST and PwD applicants need to pay ₹800. The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online.

IIT Madras Extends MBA Application Deadline

The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has extended the application deadline for its two-year, full-time MBA programme for the 2026 session. The last date to submit applications has been pushed to February 8, 2026, to allow more candidates, including fresh graduates and experienced professionals, to apply.

As per the IIT Madras eligibility criteria, candidates must hold a UG degree in any discipline from a recognised institution with at least 60% marks. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, the minimum required marks are 55%. Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all degree requirements by September 30.

Indian nationals are required to have a valid score in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025, while foreign nationals must submit GMAT scores. In addition, sponsored candidates with a minimum of two years of work experience in the same organisation are also eligible to apply for admission.

IIT Madras MBA Admission 2026: Interview Dates

Shortlisted candidates for the IIT Madras MBA 2026 programme will be called for a Personal Interview at designated centres across India. The interview schedule has been announced as follows:

Hyderabad March 28 to March 29
Kolkata March 28 to March 29

Candidates shortlisted based on the composite score will be called for a Personal Interview. The final selection will be made by assigning due weightage to various components, including reflective writing, personal interview performance, overall composite score, and other academic or professional achievements.
