IIT Kanpur Organises a Blood Donation Camp on 75th Republic Day

New Delhi: In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kanpur Shaurya and BloodConnect, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) organised the Diamond Jubilee Mega Blood Donation Camp on 75th Republic Day. The blood donation drive occurred at the Yoga Hall, GH 1, and Hall 12 of IIT Kanpur.

The initiative involved the IMA Charitable Blood Bank, GSVM Medical College Blood Bank, Shyam Bihari Tiwari Charitable Blood Centre, and D Stairs Charitable Blood Bank. A total of 355 individuals registered for the blood donation camp. The collection resulted in 316 units of blood, with 113 units donated at the Yoga Hall location, 51 units at GH 1, 52 units at Hall 2, and 100 units at Hall 12.

Coordinating the event from Raktarpan, IIT Kanpur, were Akshat Jain, Mitali Khetan, and Reeteswaroop Singh. Additional support came from volunteers, including Dhruv Bansal, Mohan Rajput, Shubham Maurya, Harsh Kumar, Eesha Sihare, Surya Shukla, and Sameer Kashyap.

The event saw the participation of Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Kanpur Shaurya, including Charter President Amitabh Gupta, Club President Rajesh Kapoor, Amit Mitra, Bhupesh Srivastava, Dr. Swapna Maurya, Pradeep Gupta, Ajay Agarwal, Ajay Srivastava, Pankaj Kapoor, Deepak Malviya, and Harish Bhatia. Volunteers from BloodConnect included Tushar Basak, Manu Srivastava, Abhimanyu Jain, Rameshwar Lokhande, and Kanishk Maheshwari.
