IIT Kanpur Invites MBA Applications till January 31; Apply Now!

IIT Kanpur (DoMS) has opened applications for its MBA program for the 2025-27 academic session. Interested candidates can submit their applications by January 31, 2025 (5 PM). The application fee for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates is INR 2000/- and for SC/ST/DAP, the fee is INR 1000/-.

IIT Kanpur MBA Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria

For General (GN), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) Applicants:

• Candidates must secure at least 80 percentile in CAT 2024.
• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (approved by the Indian Parliament, UGC Act, or Ministry of HRD) with a minimum of 60% marks or a 6.0 CPI (on a 10-point scale) is required.
• The bachelor’s degree must involve at least three years of study beyond higher secondary education (10+2 or diploma), with Mathematics as a subject.

For Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Applicants:

• Candidates must obtain at least 55 percentile in CAT 2024.
• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (as per UGC Act or Ministry of HRD) with a minimum of 50% marks or a 5.0 CPI (on a 10-point scale) is required.
• The bachelor’s degree must include three years of education beyond higher secondary (10+2 or diploma) with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Note: Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply. If selected, their admission will be provisional until they meet all degree requirements at the time of joining.

IIT Kanpur MBA Admission 2025: Selection Process

Stage 1:

• Eligible candidates must submit the online application.
• Only CAT 2024 scores will be accepted for admission.

Stage 2:

• Shortlisting is based on the CAT 2024 percentile.
• Cutoff percentiles for different categories will be determined based on available seats and the total number of applicants.
• Only the overall CAT-2024 percentile will be considered for shortlisting.

Stage 3:

• Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI) will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.
• GD panels will assess candidates based on their performance in group discussions and interviews.

Stage 4:

• Merit List Preparation: Candidates who pass Stage 3 will be considered for the final merit list.
• The merit list will be prepared category-wise, based on aggregate scores from all evaluation stages.
