IIT Kanpur Concludes Two-Month Long Annual Internship Program SURGE 2023; Check Details Here

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has successfully concluded its SURGE 2023 Edition. It was conducted from May 11- July 13, 2023. 

The SURGE 2023 Edition was conducted by IIT Kanpur as a part of the Students-Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence (SURGE) program, an initiative of the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). A total of 306 participants participated in the two-month long annual internship program.

The program aimed to foster a culture of research and interdisciplinary education among the participants and enable them to push their intellectual boundaries beyond the confines of traditional classroom learning.

An award plus a commendation certificate is given to those SURGE participants who produce exceptional quality research during the period. After four weeks, the SURGE participants are required to give a mid-term presentation to a review committee consisting of a group of academic staff members of IIT Kanpur. The review committee gives feedback and suggests possible improvements in the project work of the participants.

At the end of the program all the SURGE participants presents a poster of the project work carried out by them at IITK. The poster presentation is open to the public at large which is evaluated by faculty members of IIT Kanpur.
