IIT Jodhpur MTech Admission 2026 Begins; Apply by April 15 @iitj.ac.in

IIT Jodhpur has begun admission to its various M.Tech. Degree programs for the Academic Year 2026-27. The IIT Jodhpur is inviting applications from eligible regular candidates, self-sponsored individuals, and working professionals.

Applicants are required to pay a processing fee of Rs. 300 for each program if they belong to the General or OBC categories. For candidates under the SC, ST, and PwD categories, the fee is reduced to Rs. 150 per program. If a candidate chooses to apply for more than one program, the total processing fee for all selected programs will be automatically summed during the online submission.

IIT Jodhpur MTech Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the M.Tech. program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Educational Qualification: A bachelor's degree in engineering or science (4-year program) or a master's degree in science, MCA, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or Veterinary Sciences in a related field.
• Minimum Marks: At least 60% marks (or CGPA of 6.0/10) for General/OBC categories, and 55% marks (or CGPA of 5.5/10) for SC/ST/PwD categories.
• GATE Requirement:
  • Full-time Regular (with Assistantship): Must have a valid GATE score.
  • Exemption: Candidates with a B.Tech. from a CFTI and a CGPA of 8.0/10 or above are exempted from the GATE requirement.
• Work Experience: For Part-time or Sponsored categories, at least two years of work experience is required after the qualifying degree.

The selection process varies based on the admission category:

• GATE Qualified Candidates: Admission is primarily based on the GATE score and through the COAP 2026 portal.
