IIT Bombay has announced the IIT JAM 2026 first admission list, and candidates can now check their allotted seats through the JOAPS portal.

IIT JAM JOAPS 2026 First Allotment Out

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has released the first admission list for IIT JAM 2026 through the JOAPS (JAM Online Application Processing System) portal. You can now check your seat allocation by logging into jam2026.iitb.ac.in with your enrollment ID and password. This is the first of multiple admission rounds. If you have been allotted a seat, you must pay the seat booking fee by May 30, 2026 to confirm your admission. The allotment is based on your JAM score, category, and choice preferences you submitted earlier. Multiple rounds of allotment will be conducted to fill all available seats.

How to Check Your Allotment?

Visit jam2026.iitb.ac.in on your browser. Click on "JOAPS Portal" link. Enter your enrollment ID or email address. Enter your password. Click "Login" to access your allotment status. Download your allotment letter if allocated. Note your allotted institute and program.

IIT JAM 2026 Cutoff: Opening and Closing Ranks for First Admission List

IIT Bombay has also released the IIT JAM 2026 first admission round opening and closing ranks for participating institutes and programmes. What to Do After Allotment?

If you have been allotted a seat, pay the seat booking fee by May 30, 2026. If not allotted, wait for the next admission list. You can withdraw your seat during the withdrawal window (June 3–July 3). Withdrawing allows you to participate in subsequent rounds. If you withdraw, you can apply in the next round if seats are available.

Seat Booking Fee Payment

Log into JOAPS portal. Navigate to the "Fee Payment" section. Pay the seat booking fee online. Keep the payment receipt. Download the payment confirmation. The fee amount varies by program and category.

Next Steps After Payment

Wait for further instructions from your allotted institute. Download your offer letter from July 9, 2026. Report to your allotted institute on the specified date. Complete document verification. Finalize your admission.
