The IIT JAM 2026 exam consisted of seven test papers. These papers act as a gateway to various postgraduate programs like M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., and M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degrees across 22 IITs and IISc Bangalore.

IIT Bombay has released the Provisional Answer Key for the Joint Admission Test for Master's programs, IIT JAM 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination on February 15, 2026, can now access the answer keys and their response sheets through the official portal.
The challenge window for the provisional answer key is currently open. If any candidate finds a discrepancy in the provided answers, they can submit an objection via the JOAPS portal no later than February 27, 2026.

IIT JAM 2026 Important Guidelines for Students
- Official Website: All updates and links are available only at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
- Challenge Fee: A non-refundable fee of ₹500 per question is required to raise an objection.
- Supporting Evidence: Candidates must upload valid documentary proof (e.g., textbook references) to support their challenge.
- Finality: The decision of the IIT Bombay expert committee on the challenges will be final, and no further communication will be entertained after the deadline.
- Result Date: The final results are expected to be announced on March 20, 2026.

IIT JAM 2026: How to Check the Provisional Answer Key
- Step 1: Visit the official website: jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
- Step 2: Click on the JOAPS Portal link or the "Answer Key" notification.
- Step 3: Log in using the Enrolment ID / Email ID and Password.
- Step 4: Navigate to the candidate dashboard and select the link for the Provisional Answer Key and Response Sheet.
- Step 5: Download the PDF for the respective subject paper.
