IIT JAM 2026 JOAPS Third Allotment List Released at jam2026.iitb.ac.in; Check Last Date to Pay Seat Booking Fee

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has released the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 third seat allotment list on the official website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who registered through the JOAPS portal can now check their allotment status. The list was published on June 16, 2026.

Allotted candidates must respond to the offer and pay the seat booking fee by June 20, 2026. The fourth and final allotment list will be released on June 27, 2026. Candidates can log in to the JOAPS portal using their enrolment ID and password.

JAM 2026 Seat Booking Fee

As per the official admission brochure, candidates must pay the seat booking fee within the deadline. The fee will later be adjusted against the admitting institute's tuition fee at the time of final admission.

Candidates who paid the booking fee in an earlier round need not pay again on an upgrade. Payment can be made through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI on the JOAPS portal.

Response Options on the JOAPS Portal

Allotted candidates must select one of three response options after logging in to JOAPS. The choice locks the candidate into the next stage of the admission process.

• Accept and Freeze: Confirms the allotted seat. The candidate exits all future allotment rounds.
• Accept and Upgrade: Accepts the current offer but stays eligible for a better preference in the fourth round.
• Reject and Quit: Permanently withdraws the candidate from the JAM 2026 admission process.

How to Check the JAM 2026 Third Allotment List?

Candidates can follow the steps below to view their allotment status on the official portal.

• Visit the official JAM 2026 website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
• Click on the JOAPS login link on the homepage.
• Enter the IIT JAM enrolment ID and password.
• Open the seat allotment section after logging in.
• Check the allotted institute and programme details.
• Download the allotment letter for records.

How to Pay the JAM 2026 Seat Booking Fee?

Candidates who accept the allotted seat must pay the booking fee online before June 20, 2026.

• Log in to the JOAPS portal at joaps.iitb.ac.in.
• Select the response option as Accept and Freeze or Accept and Upgrade.
• Click on the seat booking fee payment link.
• Choose net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
• Pay the applicable fee as per category.
• Save the payment confirmation receipt.

Withdrawal Option and Refund

Candidates who wish to exit the process can use the withdrawal option till July 3, 2026. Those who paid the seat booking fee will receive a refund after deduction of charges. A processing fee of Rs 6,000 will be deducted from the paid amount. The refund will be credited by August 15, 2026.

1. Log in to the JOAPS portal and check the third allotment status.
2. Decide between Accept and Freeze, Accept and Upgrade, or Reject and Quit.
3. Arrange the seat booking fee as per your category.
4. Complete the online payment before June 20, 2026.
5. Download and save the allotment letter and payment receipt.
