IIT JAM 2025 Live Updates Shift 2 Exam Ends, Paper Analysis, and Question Paper Out

The IIT JAM 2025 examination was conducted today, February 2, 2025. After Shift 1 now, Shift 2 is also concluded which was held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Initial reactions indicate that around 75,000 students appeared for the exam across both shifts. The overall difficulty level was found to be moderate to tough, much like last year’s exam.

As per, the initial feedback the Biotechnology exam was somewhat difficult; the Economics (EN) Exam was more or less a balanced set of questions; Mathematical Statistics was a bit hard, and the Physics (PH) exam was slightly more severe than on usual days.

IIT JAM 2025 Exam Schedule

Around 60,000 students are expected to appear for the examination, which may lead to the selection of around 3,000 seats for postgraduate programs in IITs.

Students must follow the guidelines listed below while appearing for IIT JAM 2025 examination.

• Admit Card: Candidates must carry a hard copy of their admit card and a valid photo ID. Soft copies of the admit card will not be accepted.
• Reporting Time: Reach the exam hall as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
• Biometric Verification: Your fingerprint and/or photograph may be captured before the examination for verification. Avoid any coating (e.g., ink, mehendi, henna, or tattoo) on your fingertips.
• Electronic Devices: Do not bring mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any other electronic gadgets inside the exam hall. Even if switched off, these items are prohibited.
• Communication: No communication (verbal or otherwise) among candidates inside the exam hall is allowed.
• Tampering: Do not tamper with the computer or related hardware provided in the exam hall. Any such instances will lead to the cancellation of candidature.
• Unfair Means: Use of unfair means will result in disqualification from the exam and potential legal action.

To prevent any last-minute problems, students must make sure they have all the required paperwork and supplies on the day of the IIT JAM 2025 exam.
