IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MBA and MBA (BA) Admission Open; Apply by January 31

Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) is inviting applications for admission to MBA and MBA (BA) programs for the 2025-26 session. The last date for application is January 31, 2025.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MBA Admission: Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for MBA Program

• Candidates must hold a graduate degree or an equivalent professional qualification recognized by the UGC in any discipline with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 (for SC/ST/PwD candidates, 55% marks or a CGPA of 5.5 out of 10) from a recognized university.
• Final-year students are also eligible to apply. However, if selected, they will be admitted provisionally, provided they fulfill all the requirements for the qualifying degree before the program starts. They must submit a provisional certificate of program completion by September 30, 2025.
• A valid CAT-2024 score is mandatory for all applicants.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA in Business Analytics Program

• Applicants must have a B.Tech/B.E. degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 (for SC/ST/PwD candidates, 55% marks or a CGPA of 5.5 out of 10).
• Final-year students are also eligible to apply. If selected, they will be granted provisional admission, provided they meet the qualifying degree requirements before the program commences. A provisional certificate of program completion must be submitted by September 30, 2025.
• A valid CAT-2024 score is required for all applicants.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MBA Admission: Application Fee

Note:

• The combined application fee for both MBA and MBA in Business Analytics is ₹3200 for General/OBC/EWS categories and ₹1600 for SC/ST/PwD categories.
• Reconciliation of application fees may take 7–10 days. Avoid making duplicate payments during this period and retain your payment receipt for future reference.
• Application fees, once paid, are non-refundable.

Candidates applying for the MBA program will be shortlisted based on their CAT percentile.

The final selection for MBA admissions will be determined by evaluating candidates across five key parameters:

• Personal Interview – 40%
• CAT Percentile – 35%
• Academic Performance – 10%
• Industry Experience – 10%
• Female Candidate Bonus – 5%
