IIT(ISM) Dhanbad Begins MBA Applications; Semester-Wise Fee Details Out for Batch 2026–28

The Department of Management Studies (DMS) at IIT Dhanbad has released the MBA fee structure for the 2026–28 batch along with the complete admission schedule.

Applications for MBA and MBA in Business Analytics are now open for candidates with a valid CAT 2025 score, and the last date to apply is January 31, 2026. The official brochure outlines eligibility criteria, interview dates, seat distribution, and the list of documents required for admission.

DMS IIT Dhanbad MBA Admission 2026–28 Dates

IIT Dhanbad has opened admissions for its MBA and MBA in Business Analytics programmes for the 2026–28 batch, with the application deadline set for January 31, 2026. The selection process is based on a valid CAT 2025 score, followed by offline personal interviews scheduled across four major cities.

The institute has also released the complete semester-wise fee structure, and confirmed that all students will need to pay mess charges of ₹19,500 per semester. A total of 120 seats are available across both programmes for the upcoming academic session.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the MBA programme at IIT Dhanbad, candidates must have a valid CAT 2025 score and a bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0, while SC/ST/PwD applicants require 55% or a CGPA of 5.5.

Final-year students are also eligible, provided they complete their degree requirements by September 30, 2026. For the MBA in Business Analytics, applicants must hold a B.Tech/BE degree in any discipline with at least 60% or CGPA 6.0, along with a valid CAT 2025 score.

Selection Process

For the 2026–28 MBA admissions, IIT Dhanbad will shortlist candidates based on their CAT 2025 percentile. The final selection will be determined through a weighted evaluation that includes a Personal Interview (40%), followed by the CAT score (35%), work experience (10%), female candidate weightage (5%), and academic records (10%). The structured criteria ensure a balanced assessment of academic merit, professional exposure, and overall profile.
