The Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University has shared the placement statistics for 2025-26, showing a strong start to the drive. In just five days, the institute received 1,005 job offers, including 280 pre-placement offers. The highest package offered this year has reached ₹1.67 crore, while the average package stands at ₹29.33 LPA. The drive opened on December 1, 2025, and this performance came faster than last year’s record.

IIT BHU Placements 2025-26 Highlights

IIT BHU has reported major growth in recruitment activity during the first phase of placements. The institute received 1,005 total offers, including 280 PPOs, showing early interest from companies. Students also received 443 internship offers from various organisations. The placement cell has shared that the hiring pace has been faster compared to the previous year.

The highest package touched ₹1.67 crore, making it one of the top offers in the country this year. The average package has reached ₹29.33 LPA, indicating strong results across branches. Last year, the same 1,005-offer mark took 12 days, which shows a clear rise in demand for IIT BHU graduates.

Leading companies participated in this year’s drive, including NVIDIA, Mastercard, Google, Databricks, Meesho, Amazon, Samsung, Microsoft, and Flipkart. Students received offers in sectors such as Software Development, ML/Quant, Analytics, Product/Business, and Core Engineering.

The Director of IIT BHU congratulated students for their results, highlighting their innovation, analytical skills, leadership, and integrity. He also appreciated the efforts of the Training and Placement Cell and more than 150 student volunteers, who supported the process during the drive.

The second phase of placements is expected to begin soon after the first phase activities conclude. More companies from technology, finance, consulting, and core engineering sectors are likely to participate. Students should keep documents such as academic records, updated resume, and internship certificates ready for the upcoming phase.
