The number of students placed has doubled and the average CTC has increased to Rs 13.62 lakh pa through the three placement seasons conducted by IIT Bhilai.

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhilai has conducted successful campus placement sessions for three batches from the year of functioning. As per the data released by IIT Bhilai, each placement season has seen better performance and recorded higher CTC than the previous year.
The total number of placed students has almost doubled in the past three placement seasons. Backing up this statement, IIT Bhilai has released that the number of total placed students in BTech programmes has increased from 58 in 2019-20 to 66 in 2020-21. The number then almost doubled to 107 in the 2021-22 placement season. The number of registered students had also increased from 99 students in 2019-20 to 112 in 2020-21 and then to 119 in 2021-22.
The average CTC of the candidates has also shown a rising graph. In the 2019-20 placement season, the average salary was Rs 11.3 lakh per annum, which slightly increased to Rs 11.82 lakh per annum in 2020-21. In 2021-22, the average salary increased a bit more than the previous years as it jumped to Rs 13.62 lakh per annum.
Some of the consistent recruiters of IIT Bhilai include Google, Amazon, Intuit, Sprinklr, Commvault, Paytm, Dunzo, Atonarp, AirAsia Technology Centre, L&T, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Cognizant, Delhivery, HCL, Jio, FIITJEE, ICICI Bank, Deloitte Consulting, Titan, Toppr, RedBus, Shriram General Insurance, Samsung Research, Air Asia, Carrier, BYJU’s, CDAC, Newgen, KPMG, OYO, Bosch and more.

Instead of appearing for placement sessions, some students decided to pursue higher studies. The number has, however, decreased from 23 in 2019-20 to 13 in 2021-22. It was only in 2020-21 when the number of students who chose to head for higher studies had increased dramatically to 36.
