At the time of registration, candidates must bring documents such as their 12th grade transcript, proof of age, and a physical disability certificate (if required).
Various campuses of the Indian Institute of Technology, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur, have begun taking applications for the B.Des program AY 2025. Admission will be through the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2025. The last date to submit application is April 3, 2025.

IIT B.Des Program Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Bachelors in Design program at Indian Institute of Technology, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Criterion 1 – Age limit: The candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 2000, if in the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category, and on or after October 1, 1995, if in the SC, ST, or PwD category.
- Criterion 2 – UCEED qualification: The candidate must have qualified, or received a rank, in UCEED 2025.
- Criterion 3 – Qualifying examination: The candidate must have passed all five subjects of the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025.
IIT B.Des Program Documents Required
The candidate will be asked to present the following documents at the time of registration.
- Marksheet of 12th standard
- Age Proof
- Physical Disability Certificate ( If Applicable)
- Caste Certificate ( If Applicable)
- EWS Certificate ( If Applicable)
- Nationality Certificate ( If Applicable)
- OCI/PIO Certificate ( If Applicable)
Candidates from the Science Stream (at the 10+2 level) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects can apply to all seven participating universities (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur). Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) can apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Indore.
