The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) has declared the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 result on the official admission portal at iiseradmission.in. The scorecard was released on June 29, 2026, and candidates can download it till July 9, 2026, using their application number and password.
Qualified candidates can register for the IISER IAT 2026 counselling between July 2 and July 9, 2026, on the same portal. The counselling will be conducted in online mode for admission to the five-year BS-MS dual degree programme across seven IISER campuses in India.

How to Download the IISER IAT 2026 Scorecard?
Candidates can follow these steps to access their result:
- Visit the official admission portal at iiseradmission.in.
- Click on the IAT 2026 result login link on the homepage.
- Enter the application number and password on the login page.
- Submit the credentials to view the scorecard on screen.
- Download the rank card and save a printout for counselling.
Eligibility for IISER IAT 2026 Counselling
Only candidates who qualify the IAT 2026 with the minimum required marks can join counselling. The eligibility conditions are listed below.
- The candidate must have passed Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
- Class 12 must include any three of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics.
- The aggregate must be 60 percent for General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates.
- The aggregate must be 55 percent for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
How Will Seats Be Allotted in IISER Counselling 2026?
Seat allotment runs through multiple online rounds on the official portal. The authority allots seats based on the candidate IAT rank and category. Each candidate must fill institute and programme choices during registration.
Seats are then assigned through eight to nine rounds of allotment. The final rounds are expected to extend into September 2026. The cutoff for each round is released along with the allotment list on the portal.
Participating IISER Campuses
The IAT 2026 score is used for admission to the BS-MS programme at seven IISERs. These include IISER Berhampur, IISER Bhopal, IISER Kolkata, IISER Mohali, IISER Pune, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, and IISER Tirupati.
The IAT is the only gateway to all seven IISER campuses. A strong rank here unlocks the five-year BS-MS programme. The cutoff at IISER Pune typically crosses 160 out of 240 marks.
