The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have officially announced the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 schedule for admissions to BS-MS and other science programs.
The application process begins on March 5, 2026, and eligible students can apply online through the admission portal. Candidates will be allowed to edit their forms in April, while the entrance test will be conducted in June. Hall tickets will be issued in May before the examination.

How to Apply For IISER IAT 2026?
Candidates must fill out the application form online through the official admission website. They need to register using basic details, upload documents, pay the fee and submit the form. Before submitting, students should:
- Check eligibility criteria
- Upload correct photograph and signature
- Verify academic details
- Save a copy of the confirmation page
Any mistakes can be corrected during the April 13–15 correction window.

The admit cards will be released on May 24, 2026 on the official portal of the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research. Candidates must download their hall tickets by logging in with their application credentials.
The admit card will include important details such as the exam centre address, reporting time, roll number, and exam-day instructions. Students must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof, as entry to the examination hall will not be permitted without these documents.
The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 will be conducted in computer-based mode for admission to science programs offered at IISER campuses. The question paper will include subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, based on the Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus.
The examination will be held for three hours, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon (IST) on June 7, 2026, and candidates must complete all sections within the given duration.
Once the results are announced, shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. During this stage, students must upload the required documents and confirm their admission within the specified deadline.
For counselling, candidates should keep their Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, category certificate (if applicable), valid photo ID proof, passport-size photographs, admit card, and application receipt ready.
