The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have released the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 Round 3 seat allotment result on the official admissions portal at iiseradmission.in. The Round 3 allotment was announced on August 10, 2026. Candidates can log in using their application number and password to view the result.

The Round 3 allotment covers the BS-MS Dual Degree programme across all seven IISERs and the BTech programmes offered at IISER Bhopal. Institute-wise and category-wise closing ranks for Round 3 are hosted on the same portal.

How Round 3 Compares With the Earlier Counselling Rounds

Round 3 is the third and generally final regular seat allotment cycle for the 2026 IAT admission season. Round 2 had closed on August 5, 2026. In that round, IISER Pune recorded the top closing rank of 715 in the unreserved category for BS-MS. IISER Kolkata's BS-MS in Computational and Data Sciences closed at rank 1,199 in the same category.

The seat allotment letter is available only through the candidate login on the official portal. The steps below help candidates access the result quickly.

• Visit the official portal at iiseradmission.in.
• Click on the Round 3 seat allotment or candidate login link.
• Enter your IAT 2026 application number and password.
• The allotment status and allotted institute will appear on the dashboard.
• Download the provisional allotment letter for reference.

How to Accept the Round 3 Seat and Complete Admission Formalities?

Allotted candidates must confirm their seat within the official window. Missing the deadline leads to forfeiture of the offer. The Seat Acceptance Fee is adjusted against the first-semester tuition later.

• Log in to the IISER admission portal with your credentials.
• View the allotted institute and programme on your dashboard.
• Choose the response option such as accept and freeze, accept and upgrade, or reject.
• Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee online through the payment gateway on the portal.
• Upload the required documents in the specified format.
• Save the payment receipt and confirmation slip for records.

Candidates who select the upgrade option remain in the pool for the next allotment stage. Those who freeze their seat exit the counselling process for the current admission cycle.
