IISER IAT 2026 Registration Begins @iiseradmission.in; Apply Online Till April 13

Interested candidates can submit the application form till April 13, 2026, while the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 will be conducted on June 7, 2026.

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have started the registration process for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026. Interested candidates can submit their online applications through the official admission portal iiseradmission.in. The last date to apply for IAT 2026 is April 13, 2026, till 11:55 PM (IST).

IAT 2026 will be conducted on June 7, 2026, in computer-based mode at various test centres across India. The examination will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Through IAT 2026, candidates can apply for BS-MS, BS, and B.Tech programmes offered by IISERs and participating institutes. New majors in Geology and Environmental Sciences have also been introduced at IISER Mohali.

The IISER Aptitude Test will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions, with 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. The total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes. Candidates will receive 4 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. The maximum score in the exam is 240 marks.

To be eligible for IAT 2026, candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing in 2026 from a board recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE). Applicants must have studied at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics in Class 12.

IISER IAT 2026 Application Fee

Candidates must pay the application fee while submitting the online application form for IISER IAT 2026. The application portal opened on March 5, 2026, and the fee payment is mandatory to complete the registration process. The application fee is non-refundable.
