IISER IAT 2026 Final Answer Key Released at iiseradmission.in; Check Direct Download Link

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have released the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 Final Answer Key on the official website at iiseradmission.in. Candidates can now download the final answer key PDF directly from the admission portal. The final answer key replaces the provisional answer key issued earlier this month.

The IAT 2026 was conducted on June 7, 2026, in computer-based mode (CBT). The examination consisted of 60 questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, with 15 questions from each subject carrying equal weightage.

The objection window remained open from June 9 to June 13, 2026. The IISER Joint Admissions Committee reviewed all objections submitted by candidates, and accepted corrections have been incorporated into the final answer key.

The final answer key will be used for result preparation, making it the authoritative version for score calculation. Candidates can compare their recorded responses with the official answers to estimate their scores. The IAT 2026 result is expected to be announced shortly.

The released file is titled "English_Key_IAT 2026_final.pdf" and contains the official answers for all questions. The PDF link is available on the homepage as well as under the Announcements section of the admission portal.

IISER IAT 2026 Important Dates

Objection Window and Fee Refund Policy

Candidates were required to pay a non-refundable processing fee for each objection raised during the challenge window. However, the fee will be refunded only if the objection is accepted by the IISER review committee. Fees paid for rejected objections will not be refunded, as per the official policy.

All accepted changes are reflected in the final answer key. Candidates can compare the provisional and final answer keys to identify modified, re-keyed, or dropped questions. These revisions may directly impact the final score.

What Happens After the IAT 2026 Result?

After the IISER IAT 2026 result is declared, the online counselling and seat allocation process will begin. Qualified candidates must register on iiseradmission.in and fill their programme and institute preferences. Seat allotment will be based on the candidate's rank, choices filled, and category reservation.

The seven participating IISERs in the centralized admission process are:

• IISER Tirupati

All institutes offer the five-year BS-MS Dual Degree Programme.

The Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) is:

• ₹25,000 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates.
• ₹12,500 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

The fee will be adjusted against the first-semester institute fee after admission.

How to Calculate Scores Using the Final Answer Key?

Candidates should first log in to the candidate portal and download their IAT 2026 response sheet. Compare every recorded response with the corresponding answer in the final answer key. Count the total number of correct and incorrect responses separately.

Apply the official IAT 2026 marking scheme to calculate the expected raw score. Unattempted questions do not attract any negative marking.

The calculated score can help candidates estimate their expected rank using previous years' marks vs rank trends. However, the official rank will only be available after the declaration of the IAT 2026 result.
