IIM Visakhapatnam has announced to extend the application deadline for its doctoral program, both Regular and Executive, i.e., February 11 and 16, 2026. Applicants have to pay the application fee of INR 500.

Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIM Vizag) has notified the extension of the application deadline for its doctoral programs, including Regular and Executive. The Regular PhD Programme at IIM Visakhapatnam is offered in various faculties, including Decision Sciences, Economics & Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems, Management Communication, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource Management, Production & Operations Management, and Strategy.

IIM Vizag PhD Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the Doctoral programme will be based on a valid score in the exams mentioned below, followed by an interview. Applicants are required to hold a postgraduate degree or a Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) in any disciplinewith at least 55% marks, or candidates qualify as CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50% marks and B. Com/Degree with 55% marks, or 4 year / 8 semesters bachelor’s degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.

Candidates must note that to apply for the strategy area, a minimum of two years of post- qualification full time work experience is mandatory. Applicants qualified in CAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE, CSIR (NET)1, UGC (NET), and UGC(JRF) are also eligible to apply for the doctoral program at IIM Visakhapatnam.

IIM Vizag PhD Test Score Validity

The validity of test scores varies across different entrance examinations. CAT scores are valid for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025. GRE and GMAT scores remain valid for a period of five years from the date of the test. Meanwhile, GATE, UGC NET/JRF, and CSIR-NET scores are considered valid for three years.
