IIM Udaipur Welcomes 12th Batch of MBA GSCM and 5th Batch of One Year MBA DEM Program

New Delhi: IIM Udaipur recently hosted the inaugural ceremony of its MBA programs for the academic year 2024-25. This year marks the twelfth batch of IIM Udaipur’s One-Year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) and the fifth batch of its One-Year MBA in Digital Enterprise Management (DEM). 

Both programs have a total of 125 students - 66 students in the GSCM program and 59 students in the DEM program. The One-Year MBA program at IIM Udaipur is designed to help working professionals with at least 3 years of experience in any field. The courses provide a strong theoretical base and practical skills to students.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries such as DP World CEO Rizwan Soomar, Accenture Services Managing Director Mr. Ganesan Ramachandran, IIM Udaipur Director Prof. Ashok Banerjee, Chairperson of the One-year MBA Program Committee Prof. Rajesh Agrawal, and Centre for Supply Chain Management In-Charge R. Chandrashekar.

In his address to the students, Prof. Ashok Banerjee highlighted the unique nature of the One-Year MBA programs. He told the students that the courses would be “transformational in nature” and emphasized the current industry needs for area experts in specific fields. 

Rizwan Soomar also addressed the students, saying, "In the wake of recent disruptive events, the narratives around digital transformation, supply chain resilience, and sustainability have emerged as pivotal topics in boardrooms worldwide. The disruptions experienced in recent years have underscored the critical need for organizations to adapt, innovate, and prioritize sustainability practices. Today, these discussions transcend mere corporate strategy; they reflect our response to unprecedented challenges, driving us towards resilient and environmentally conscious business models."

Ganesan Ramachandran gave the students advice on how to make the most optimum use of their academic programs to develop and sharpen their skills according to the industry’s needs.
