IIM Trichy Launches 'High Potential Women Leaders Programme' for VDart Technologies Pvt Ltd

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management, IIM Tiruchirappalli recently commenced a three-day Management Development Program titled 'High Potential Women Leaders Programme' for VDart Technologies Pvt Ltd. 

The objective of this program is to spotlight high-potential women executives who have the capability to ascend to C-suite positions. IIM Trichy has designed the program to foster the necessary knowledge and skills for their professional journey.

Commencing with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, the inaugural event was graced by esteemed individuals such as Mr. Sidd Ahmed, President & CEO (VDart Inc.), Mr. Oliver Sam, Vice President – People Strategy and Transformation (VDart Inc.), and IIM Trichy faculty including Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, IIM Tiruchirappalli, Prof. Saravanan P, Dean (Corporate Relations and Faculty Affairs), and Prof. Abhishek Totawar, Programme Director. 

Extending a warm welcome to the participants during the program, Prof. Saravanan P, Dean (Corporate Relations and Faculty Affairs), explained the course's objectives by providing an overview of the institute, and all courses at IIM Trichy, and emphasized how engaging in this curriculum could profoundly influence one's leadership capabilities.

In his speech, Mr. Oliver, Vice President – People Strategy and Transformation at VDart Inc., discussed the significant social and economic impact that VDart has made in the Trichy region by creating high-quality employment opportunities.

Commending the Women Leadership Committee (of VDart) and highlighting the potential of small steps in driving effective societal changes. Mr. Oliver encouraged everyone to maintain a sense of calm and abundance, even amidst adversities.

Highlighting the profound impact of leadership on communities and the transformative effect it has on people's lives, Mr. Sidd Ahmed, President & CEO of VDart Inc., encouraged all participants to seize this learning opportunity and use it to positively impact the lives of others in the future.

Mr. Ahmed stressed the importance of practical learning alongside formal education to become an effective leader.

Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli, commended the program's objectives and acknowledged that leadership comes naturally to women. 

Encouraging participants to reflect deeply, seek answers through meditation, and ask the right questions to become effective leaders. Dr. Singh pointed out that exceptional leaders not only lead the way but also nurture and develop future leaders in the process.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Abhishek Kumar Totawar, Programme Director of the High Potential Women Leaders Programme. The ceremony concluded with the rendition of the national anthem.
