New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli has inaugurated its sixth batch of Postgraduate Certificate in Executive General Management on October 8, 2023. The event was graced by Shri. Ravi Parmeshwar, Consultant – People Aspects, Culture, Employment Law, Safety as the chief guest, Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe, Chairman & MD, M/s Jaro Education, Prof. Meenakshi N and Prof. Bipin Kumar Dixit, Program Directors of PGCEGM and Dr. Saravanan P, Dean (Corporate Relations and Faculty Affairs) Member – EEC committee.

The guest speaker of the event at IIM Trichy, Shri. Ravi Parmeshwar began, by highlighting the idea that learning never really ends and continues beyond formal education. He praised the batch for their impressive commitment to self-improvement.

He then stressed the importance of curiosity as the most valuable trait for students. He encouraged them to seek feedback, make use of their professors' expertise, and trust their instincts. Drawing from his own experiences, he emphasized the significance of grasping the various subjects and theories taught in class. Additionally, Shri. Parmeshwar acknowledged that the student journey can be challenging, with grades holding importance, but also emphasized the enjoyment of the learning process. He mentioned that careers often follow winding paths, and tough times can help individuals discover their strengths and the value of a good education.

Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe spoke about his entrepreneurial journey and the key takeaways from his experience. He emphasized on the importance of focusing on all management fields to help with decision-making at a senior management level. He further added that in today’s technology-run world, it is essential for one to continue learning and understand the importance and value of human capital. He concluded his speech by advising the participants on utilizing the opportunity to their maximum by building their network.

Prof. Meenakshi N welcomed the chief guest, the faculty members, and the participants to the ceremony. She congratulated the participants on being selected for this prestigious certificate program.

Dr. Saravanan P, Dean of Corporate Relations and Faculty Affairs, gave a brief regarding the importance of executive education and consulting. Prof. Bipin Kumar Dixit concluded the event by thanking all the dignitaries for their presence and the speakers for their profound insights. The National Anthem followed the Vote of Thanks.
