IIM Sirmaur has opened the admission for PhD and PhD Executive programs for the 2025 session. Candidates with valid CAT, GRE, GMAT, GATE, JRF, or SRF scores are eligible to apply. Read the article below for more information.
IIM Sirmaur is inviting applications for admission to PhD and PhD Executive programs for 2025. The interviews for both programs will be held in the 2nd week of March 2025.

IIM Sirmaur PhD and PhD Executive Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in admission to PhD or PhD Executive programs from IIM Sirmaur must meet any of the below-mentioned criteria:
- Master’s Degree or a 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree with at least 60% marks.
- Two-year PG Diploma along with a Bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks (for both exams).
- CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 50% marks, along with a Bachelor's degree.
- 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree with at least 70% marks.
- A valid CAT, GRE, GMAT, GATE, JRF, or SRF score.
However, candidates with an MBA (regular) from any IIM with a CGPA of 8 or higher are exempted from these test scores. In case the candidate does not fulfill this requirement, they must appear for the Doctoral Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by IIM Sirmaur.
IIM Sirmaur PhD and PhD Executive 2025 Application Procedure
- Candidates can download the application form from the official IIM Sirmaur website. Applicants can apply for a maximum of two areas.
- Submit a Statement of Purpose outlining the background, motivation to pursue research, and the specific research area they are interested in.
- Submit a research proposal detailing the area of interest, literature review, proposed research questions, and methodology (not mandatory).
- Applicants must submit certified copies of:
- Transcripts
- Mark sheets
- References from two academics
- Work experience certificates (if applicable)
- Caste certificates (if applicable)
- No Objection Certificate from the employer

Only test center-based GMAT/GRE scores are accepted. Online (take-home) scores are not valid. Scores of CAT (5 Years), GRE (5 Years), GMAT (5 Years), GATE (3 Years), JRF (3 Years), SRF (1 Year) will be accepted.
Candidates in the final year are also eligible to apply. The course completion certificate must be submitted by June 30, 2025, and all pending documents by October 30, 2025, for admission confirmation.
