IIM, Sirmaur has introduced Two Executive MBA programmes in general management and digital transformation and analytics

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sirmaur has introduced Two Executive MBA programmes in general management and digital transformation and analytics. These Executive MBA programmes have been launched in partnership with the French universities of Bordeaux and Paris.
As a part of the collaboration with Universities of Bordeaux and Paris, IIM Sirmaur has designed two new Executive MBA Programmes specially for the working professionals. The primary goal of this program is to improve the business professionals' knowledge and abilities.
To fit the schedule of working professionals, the programme will be two years long and it will be based on a hybrid learning approach. Students will be invited to the campus for a Personal Contact Programme (PCP) at regular intervals in addition to the online classes. A PCP will take place at a partnering university in France.
The students will graduate from IIM Sirmaur with an Executive MBA degree after successfully completing the course. A postgraduate diploma will be awarded to the students who can only finish one year rather than the required two years.
The two-year MBA in General Management will have four semesters that makes up the executive MBA in Business Management. Subjects like Marketing, finance, strategy, accounting, organisational behaviour (OB), human resource (HR), management information systems (MIS), operations management, and quantitative methods will be offered in the first two semesters.
Similarly, the electives are required during the third and fourth semesters. The professors from the partner French university and IIM Sirmaur will teach these new Executive MBA Programmes to the students.
Prafulla Agnihotri, director of IIM-Sirmaur, reportedly stated that the IIM will start working on more joint and dual degrees with international B-schools from the US and Australia. As soon as the initial phase of work is finished, he added, the IIM will move to its permanent campus by the end of this year.
Middle and senior executives will be transformed for leadership positions in the corporate world through the executive MBA in digital transformation and analytics. Most of the time, case-based teaching techniques will be used.
The programme will offer several exit and entry points, allowing a candidate to withdraw with a postgraduate diploma at the conclusion of the first year and return to finish the programme within three years.
It will be an exact replica of the standard full-time MBA programme with the option to spend two to four weeks abroad. The executives don't need to go all the way down to the bottom. There will be a lower charge as well. IIM Sirmaur has planned to keep the course structure at INR 95 lakh for the entire programme, said Agnihotri.
