IIM Sambalpur Gets USD 2 Million Funding for Incubation Centre on 9th Foundation Day; Check Details Here

New Delhi: On the occasion of 9th Foundation Day, Founders of ESKYEN Ventures and Indus Capital, Sushant Kumar announced funding of US dollars 2 million to the incubation center of IIM Sambalpur. The theme of 9th Foundation Day was ‘Accelerating startup’s ecosystems.’

In addition to this, IIM Sambalpur also signed an agreement with India Accelerator to build entrepreneurial capacity in its campus. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was the chief guest of the celebration.

Speaking on this occasion, Education Minister said “IIM Sambalpur collaborates with businesses such as India Accelerator, SIDBI, and Flipkart, which foster entrepreneurs and assist in the livelihoods of local weavers and craftsmen.” He motivated the students to use innovation, inclusivity, and integrity as keys to all their activities.

Sushant Kumar, the event's chief guest, spoke about the challenges faced by the companies in overcoming primary worries such as fundraising, loan repayments, and job stability. He commended the dynamic leadership of Professor Jaiswal and his team, assuring that the project's implementation would commence shortly. 

IIM Sambalpur Director Mahadeo Jaiswal said that within eight years, IIM Sambalpur has established its name among the top IIMs. It aims at nurturing responsible leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset.

In 2019, IIM Sambalpur achieved 50 percent gender diversity, with a milestone followed by all IIMs. He also encouraged students to adopt an innovative mindset, take prudent chances, and not be afraid to ask questions.
